Deacon Recruiting 101

1. APPLICATIONS 
A. Online
B. Scan QR Code to complete Profile Page

2. RECRUITING PROCESS
A. Greet & Talk with potential Candidate
B. Have potential candidate scan the QR code
       i. Each Deacon should have a physical card and/or a picture            of the QR cade on their phone.
      ii. Record the candidate's name and phone number,
          and send / text to Deacon Pettis.
C. Clearly, state they must complete the Profile Page in order to
    move to the next step.

D. Follow up call 
       i. The designated call Recruiting Team will only reach out to the
          candidates that have not completed the online Profile
          Page.
     ii. Do not ask if still interested. Instead remind them that in
         order to move on to the stage "Onboarding" they must
         complete the online Profile Page.


Note: Once the candidate has completed the Profile Page they are then in our Tracking System to advance through to the Classroom.

E. DO NOT MAKE APPOINTMENTS TO MEET in person 1:1.
      We will leave this to the Onboarding team.

*** 2 months from the next class start date the recruiting team will post in the lobby from 8 to 8:30 am to actively recruit as a team before service, and for the additional 15 to 30 minutes after service. 1 month before the next class start date ALL deacons will actively post in the lobby to recruit from 8 to 8:30 before morning service and follow steps A thru E above. ***


3. ON-BOARDING TEAM

A. Commit to On-Boarding Dates for this up-coming Class
B. Share Profile Page with OBT Members
C. OBT Members will review the Profile Page and determine questions
D. **If married ensure to include spouse
E. *If not married ensure to include ( Deacon Cross) Yoke Ministry

4. ON-BOARDING MEETING
A. Discuss Strengths and Weaknesses
B. Determine if applicant is a Good Ministry Fit
C. If Good Fit for ministry & Class, provide a character report.
D. If not a Good Fit ( Refer to Deacon Leadership Team )

5. TRACKING TEAM 
Candidate Placed On Contact List
Email - Text - Phone Calls
A. Team Member assigned to new applicant
B. Bi-Weekly contact required until class begins
C. Bi-Weekly recap provided to
1. Deacon Leadership
2. Class Instructor
